Time for the next update on the tour of the fields!

Indeed, during the past period I have been working on finalizing the design for a new to be built detached house in Veldhoven. The design process was a very pleasant collaboration with enthusiastic and committed clients. Together we faced the challenges of plot shape and volume in relation to the budget and desired functional-spatial program. Recently, in a very smooth session(!), we selected the bricks and roof tiles at Kooy Baksteencentrum B.V. And in Broeren|Das Bouwbedrijf B.V. the partner has been found for the construction that will start this fall.

This project was also the first in which I performed the BENG calculation myself. In consultation with BuildingLabel, the calculation was signed off so that the required ‘provisional energy label’ is a fact. Harold Kleukers of HK Statica was again of constructive value, because of course the house must remain standing, even if the soil is not quite optimal.

The permit application has been submitted, so now it is up to the municipality to review and approve all the carefully put together drawings and calculations.
