Where cows once stood in the barn, there is now an (almost) unobstructed view from the yard of the beautiful North Limburg countryside. These days, under a picturesque cloudy sky, the last remnants of what were once large dairy barns are being neatly cleared and removed, and the last manure is being shoveled out of the pits. This will make room for the expansion of the other function on the farmyard, that of a meeting place for meetings, team sessions and other (business) gatherings.
Late last year, I was approached by the clients with the request to design a new meeting building to expand the existing meeting and conference facilities at the monumental historic Hoeve Rosa in Sevenum. Together with the clients and several local consultants, we have since worked hard as a team to shape and develop the plans.
In the meantime, the application for the environmental permit has been submitted and further preparations are underway for construction scheduled for later this year. And if all goes according to plan, this position next year will offer a view of the new building, which will have its place in a beautifully designed landscaped outdoor space with a fruit orchard, a flower-filled blooming yard and various places to gather and meet. At >>>Hoeve Rosa<<< (click on the link for more information) they are fully justified in calling it “Inspiring Meeting in Our Yard.
And as always, I am grateful (and forward, yet proud) that my design and love of my craft allows me to contribute to such an exciting project in such a special location.
