It’s not quite a holiday yet. But if you look at the first photo, you’d almost think it was.
It was the weekend when Joost van der Waal his Isoleerbewust-knowledge and expertise (!) into practice whilst blowing in cellulose insulation at the new-build detached house in Sint-Oedenrode. It was great to have met Joost, to have exchanged a bit of knowledge and experience, and to have seen him at work.
That weekend, the clients also began fitting the Kneer-Südfenster window frames supplied by Pladeko. High-quality timber-aluminium window frames with a sleek profile and a corresponding elegant interplay of lines on the timber interior, combined with above-average insulation performance.
You know you’re dealing with quality and professional installation when you can operate a sliding door with double-sided laminated triple glazing with just one finger. It even comes with a soft-close mechanism as an added bonus, both when opening and closing the door.
With the window frames in place and the insulation blown in, the timber-frame shell suddenly feels like the protective shell of a home.
In every room, you can now fully appreciate the different views of the surrounding garden landscape. Sometimes grand, with the landscape reflected in the pond; sometimes intimate, like picturesque little paintings set into the wall.
The garden is in full bloom and provides a colourful backdrop to the landscape. The embankment around the house and the green roof will be laid out shortly. This will allow the house to blend in even more with its green surroundings.
The house is certainly not finished yet, but it’s such a joy to pop round every now and then to see how this project is coming along. Not least because of the hospitality and enthusiasm of the clients, Doy, Gijs, Daphne and Ellen. I count myself very lucky to have such lovely people as clients.
